What is Yogalates?
This class is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates. You will be taken on a mindful journey where the two disciplines blend, finishing up with meditation.
What is yogalates good for?
Yogalates uses a mind-body connection to improve physical, emotional and spiritual levels of those who practice it. As it improves breathing, circulation and energy levels, Yogalates speeds up metabolism, so combined with good nutrition, this type of exercise can be used very effectively for weight loss.
Yogalates can and will help tone your muscles. This is due to the postures, shapes and poses it demands which ensure muscles are pushed and trained subsequently get stronger by supporting the weight of the body and being engaged for balance.
In general you will do more side-lying exercises than you do in yoga. And you’ll strengthen the obliques. And leg muscles a little bit more that way in yoga.
Due to the stretches and sometimes demanding positions which Yogalates demand, all stimulate the muscles and internal organs, this aids increased blood flow to all parts of the body which can help the body recover faster and flush out any possible toxins which can often accumulate in the tissues.
